Our story
Revealing this land, with respect
At LAGA we believe you don’t get to know a place just by visiting it, but by understanding the stories, the people and the landscape that give it meaning. That’s why we design tours that bring together nature, heritage, wine culture and local food, to discover Rioja in a more mindful, close and respectful way.
The name
What LAGA means
The lagar is the press where grapes are turned into wine: a symbol of origin, of the soil and of the winemaking tradition that has shaped both the landscape and the identity of Rioja.
In Basque, laga is a form of the verb lagatu, meaning to let go or to release. For us, it means leaving the rush behind, opening up to the land and taking every road slowly.
Our philosophy
More than a backdrop. The land itself is the story
Travel with respect
We only use authorised tracks, respecting the landscape, local farming and the land itself.
Discover from the inside
The buggy is only the means. History, culture and landscape are the destination, and the best way to discover this region.
Share what's real
We work with local wineries and producers to show the most authentic side of Rioja.
Our approach
Reading the landscape as you move through it
The buggy gives us access to tracks, viewpoints and corners where the landscape shows its true character.
Every tour is designed to understand Rioja through its history, its culture, its villages and the people who have built it over generations.
We don’t follow an itinerary.
We interpret a place.
"LAGA turns the journey into an experience, the landscape into a memory, and the road into an invitation to let go."
